When watching the film Food, Inc I felt really shocked and extremely sad since I really do care a lot about any kind of animals. Watching the way they keep them in a certain environment and in a way prepare them to be killed and then later on process to become sellable food makes almost not want to eat food again. I was aware of certain ways that they process food, however, I did not know that there were many more ways of doing it specifically for certain types of such as corn. From time to time I look at the nutritional facts about the foods I eat and I almost tend to see corn in a lot of foods. It almost feels like everything we consume on a daily basis has corn. When I think of the word "engineer" I usually tend to visualize cars, machines, factories and many more things that aren't food. I wasn't aware of our food being engineered, but nonetheless that is the way the environment works with food. To be quite honest I do think that we as people should know a bit about the food we consume due to some things being unhealthy for our bodies with the potentiality of death. I feel like we should care, but at the same time just try to live out our lives normally since there won't ever be a win-win situation with things like this.
