A blog is a frequently maintained website or web page written in an informal or conversational style, often run by an individual or small group. Blogs provide an authentic writing environment for people to express their thoughts, opinions, studied facts, and so on. This authentic writing context allows to use rhetorical skills in a real-world setting, which is crucial for effective and interesting writing. With that in mind, here are two blogs that caught my attention and one that didn't.
The first blog I really enjoyed reading is:
https://cupcakesandcashmere.com/
Emily Schuman's lifestyle and fashion blog is full of interesting postings on everything from fashion and beauty to home design, cuisine, work, and thoughts on life with her husband and small daughter. I'll start by saying that I really enjoyed this blog because I'm interested in fashion and like to decorate my room from time to time. Emily has some wonderful recommendations on how to decorate and turn your thoughts into reality, creating the perfect setting. Also, she has some fantastic cooking ideas and suggestions and, to be honest, I'm not much of a cook, but there's one recipe in particular that caught my eye: "https://cupcakesandcashmere.com/food/the-most-amazing-sheet-pan-chow-mein-and-soy-sauce-brownies-you-heard-that-right"Have you heard of Soy Sauce Brownies before?
The second blog I enjoyed is:
Joanna Goddard's lifestyle blog is full of random lists, product recommendations, and regular posts on topics ranging from fashion to food, design, travel, relationships, and motherhood. Her posts seems to be quite interesting to me. Her viewers appear to be pretty great, so the comments sections on her posts are typically just as interesting to read. If you're not sure what to watch on TV, check out this link where she talks about her favorite series! https://cupofjo.com/2021/08/good-tv-shows/.
Finally the blog that didn't grab my attention:
Jeremy's blog is primarily about music, but he also exhibits some of his images that he has shot, which I must say have amazed me. Jeremy lives in Brooklyn and works as a writer, editor, and photographer. This blog did not catch my interest as much as the other two. Jeremy's blog sense is classic. The majority of the photos are black and white, and there is a lot of writing, however if you enjoy music and reading long blogs, this is the blog for you!
